An old student can also donate items needed for courses like tents, tarps and gear to keep everyone comfortable during the course. Typical outdoor living type of east Hawaii things may be of use.

New 3 day course Beginning January 31st. and ending on February 4th, 2010

Dhamma Service on the Weekends  – January 9th. and 10th. , 2010 January 16th and 17th., 2010

The Dhamma Service Period has a more relaxed schedule that includes two daily group sittings, work on setting up the tent, kitchen, dining areas, tenting areas, etc for the next course.

YOU HAVE TO BE AN OLD STUDENT (completed a 10 day course) TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DHAMMA SERVICE.

Dear Hawaii Vipassana Students,

Weekend Dhamma Service Period at Hawaii Vipassana – Beginning January 9, 2010

The Dhamma Service Period is essentially a work period to focus on the set up of the site for the upcoming course. Participants serve with fellow meditators on different tasks which require a variety of skill levels.

The Dhamma Service Period represents a wonderful opportunity for old students to work with others and strengthen their practice. There will be daily group sittings.

This program is for all old students who have sat at least one course with S.N. Goenka or one of his assistant teachers and who have not practiced another meditation technique since their last course. Any old student may serve all or part of the program.

To apply on-line, please fill out the Dhamma Service form on the old student site at www.hi.us.dhamma.org/os (for user name: and password: contact: webmaster@hi.us.dhamma.org ) or go to the online Dhamma Service Form.

Please read the Code of Conduct for Dhamma Workers prior to filling out your application. If applying for part-time, please remember to indicate your arrival and departure dates.

Hawaii Vipassana 10 day course January 20-31, 2010 The dates for the next course have been slated for January 20-31. An announcement will be made on the website. http://www.hi.us.dhamma.org

Also note that registration will begin and the application will be posted on the website starting September first.
